Local Green Councillor Anthony Carroll has welcomed planned project work that will see Hogarth Park receiving the long-awaited revival it needs.

Hogarth Park has been short-listed along with four other projects in the Council’s Liveable Neighbourhood Proposals and this will see a new route created for walking, wheeling and cycling along with improvements to the long-neglected green space. Anthony said:

“Hogarth Park has been often overlooked and so I am delighted that proposals to enhance it are now being taken forward by the Liveable Neighbourhood plan. It’s just over two years since we were fighting to stop plans for a highway cutting the park in half so this is huge progress.

Greens will continue to push for further investments in our parks and green spaces as they are vital for our physical and mental wellbeing.”
