Local Council Election Results 2017

Thank you and well done to all our candidates, activists and volunteers and to everyone who voted to elect more Green Councillors than ever before.
Number 1: Our first Councillor has been elected and it's also our first ever Councillor on Orkney or the islands! Well done to Steve Sankey, new Green Cllr for East Mainland, South Ronaldsay and Burray!
Number 2: Alasdair Tollemache has been elected as Green Councillor for Dunblane & Bridge of Allan, previously held by Green MSP Mark Ruskell!
Number 3: Martin Bartos has been re-elected as Green Councillor for Partick East / Kelvindale on Glasgow City Council!
Number 4: Our second Councillor for Glasgow - Tanya Wisely has been elected as Green Councillor for Langside!
Number 5: A third for Glasgow as Jon Molyneux elected to Pollokshields.
Number 6: Martha Wardrop re-elected as Councillor for Hillhead, making it four for Glasgow. She received 1718 first preference votes and topped the poll. Well done Martha!
Number 7: Gavin Corbett retains his Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart seat on City of Edinburgh Council, getting re-elected on the first count.
Number 8: Our Councillor for East Garioch ward, Martin Ford, has been returned to Aberdeenshire Council.
Number 9: Claire Miller has been elected as the first ever Green Councillor for City Centre ward on City of Edinburgh Council.
Number 10: Three in a row for Edinburgh as Melanie Main is re-elected to Morningside ward at the first stage.
Number 11: Another breakthrough in Glasgow as Kim Long is elected as the first ever Green Councillor for Dennistoun ward.
Number 12: Edinburgh are catching up with Glasgow as Chas Booth is re-elected as Councillor for Leith.
Number 13: Lucky for some! Susan Rae tops the poll in Leith Walk ward to be elected as Green Councillor on Edinburgh Council, a seat previously held by Scottish Greens Co-convenor Maggie Chapman.
Number 14: Steve Burgess returned as Green Councillor for Southside / Newington. The Edinburgh Green Team are doing well.
Number 15: Edinburgh in the lead with another first - Alex Staniforth has been elected to Craigentinny/Duddingston!
Number 16: Another first in Glasgow as Allan Young is returned as the first ever Green Councillor for Govan!
Number 17: Pippa Hadley makes history by becoming the first ever Green Councillor on Highlands Council. She represents Badenoch & Strathspey ward.
Number 18: Well done to Mary Campbell, the first ever Green Councillor in Portobello, who brings the Edinburgh Councillor tally to 8!
Number 19: Christy Mearns has been elected to the Anderston/City/Yorkhill seat on Glasgow City Council, a seat previously held by Cllr Nina Baker.
