Patrick at the M19 Anti-Racism Rally, Glasgow

Patrick Harvie spoke to a crowd of over a thousand people in George Square today in support of the fight against racism and Islamophobia. He joined fellow Glaswegians in a call to welcome refugees to Scotland and defend the rights of migrants.

"People Make Glasgow; I am proud that every one of you and many more, make our city the vibrant, fantastic city that it is, but I will be prouder still when, as a country we have rejected the toxic, inhumane and racist rhetoric that fuels the debate on immigration and asylum in this country today. We can do so much better and as we stand together I am certain that we will."
