In East Lothian, the Greens polled 3,801 total votes, an increase of almost 50% on 2016 voter numbers

The contributions of the incredible volunteers, who dedicated hours to campaigning under the extremely difficult circumstances of elections held during a pandemic, can not be overstated, and our local successes deserve recognition.

In East Lothian, the Greens polled 3,801 total votes, an increase of almost 50% on 2016 voter numbers, which took the party to 8.3% of the vote share across the constituency - the highest share in the South region!

The East Lothian Greens were disappointed that brilliant Green list candidate, Laura Moodie missed out by a matter of 114 votes as almost 19,000 voted Scottish Green across the South.East Lothian Greens intend to build on these efforts for the 2022 elections and get Green Councillors elected to East Lothian Council for the first time.
