410,721 concessionary travel cards have so far been issued to those eligible under the scheme. [2]

Commenting, Scottish Greens transport spokesperson Mark Ruskell MSP said:
“I am delighted that with Scottish Greens in government we’ve been able to provide more than 11 million free bus journeys to young people since this scheme was introduced just a few months ago.

“This scheme is already helping families deal with the rising cost of living and with the summer holidays beginning it has the potential to make family outings a much more realistic prospect for many households.

“More than 410,000 under 22s have already signed up for their free concessionary card. I’d encourage those who have yet to do so to visit freebus.scot and register for their card today.”
