EU Environment Debate: Ruskell Welcomes CETA Vote
Mark Ruskell MSP, Environment spokesperson for the Scottish Greens, welcomed tonight’s vote in Parliament backing a Green amendment calling on the Westminster Government to address concerns about the controversial CETA trade deal.
Mark said:
"CETA will be a disaster for our environmental protections and I’m delighted that the Scottish Parliament has agreed that the Westminster Government needs to act and reject this deal. Scotland voted to Remain in the EU, and CETA is a classic example of why we need to stay in Europe to prevent such important protections from being dismantled.”
