They met in the brilliant Edinburgh sunshine shortly after he was declared winner of his party's leadership election, where they discussed continuing the work of the Bute House Agreement.
Earlier they had spoken on the phone moments after the results were delcared at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
The Scottish Greens party Council then met and agreed unanimously to continue with the co-operation deal and support his nomination as First Minister.
