Zara Kitson Thanks Supporters
The Scottish Green Party candidate in the Dunfermline by-election is thanking supporters following a positive and constructive campaign.
27 year old Zara Kitson, an organiser of So Say Scotland and a member of National Collective, said:
"I'd like to thank the many activists and supporters who gave me such strong backing during the campaign. As a grassroots party Scottish Greens are not backed by wealthy individuals or corporate interests but we didn't shrink from the fight.
"By listening to the people of Dunfermline and the West Fife villages I was able to campaign on issues of importance to local people, from the bedroom tax and school closures to energy bills and fan ownership of the Pars. I wish Cara Hilton well as the new MSP and look forward to seeing Green support in the region continue to grow."
