Thousands of jobs in Glasgow’s pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants remain at risk.

The UK Government has confirmed it will replace its job retention scheme with a wage top-up scheme, and will cover 2/3 of wages for businesses forced to close but this still won’t be enough to protect many jobs and incomes. It's also becoming clear that we may have to move in and out of additional local restrictions until a vaccine is available or the spread of the virus can be more tightly controlled.

Led by Patrick Harvie MSP, the Build Back Better for Hospitality campaign is calling for more action to save jobs as well as a long term plan to improve income and job security.

To inform the next phase of this campaign, Patrick wants to hear from people working in the sector and those running hospitality businesses on what impact coronavirus is having on them, what they think of the new measures, and what more action they want to see.
